Panel Discussion

Collaboration in an academic environment can be highly fruitful activity; one that can be highly rewarding but conversely layered with intricacy. This panel discussion will address collaboration from both a student and faculty
perspective: what are the primary methods of collaborating within a research group, between research groups, and between institutions and industry? Further, when in one's career is "prime-time" for collaboration?  This panel
discussion will also touch upon the freedoms that students have in choosing fellow students or faculty to work with.  Finally, the pros and cons of the most common forms of academic collaboration will be discussed.
